The best part about the hands free system is it harassing you after hitting the button while on track.

This car is the Deadmau5 mascot without the ears.

If I win this, I'm 100% getting a custom license plate that says BYENH

This is the first RCR that made me feel my 52 years. I'm a Gen-X'r that just got his first rush of "meh" at a car. Was this how my Greatest Gen grandfather felt when the 1984 Corvette came out? He was older at the time but you get what I'm hinting at.
Is nostalgia creeping in? Am I longing to go to car shows back in the 80's and seeing all the Wampa Dampa and Winga Dinga worship? Hell, the regular cars of my youth ran from early 60's heydaze of Detroit to Malaise 80's so I'm not stuck in one Whats happening to my love of all things auto?
Time to ponder.

Mazda's design lines are.. uniquely futuristic but elegant.

That's why their 2015 mazda 2 looks good and better than any hatchback and their 2015 Mazda 3 looks menacing for a hot hatch... Damn

the first thing I always remember about this car is that Jeremy Clarkson used it to demonstrate torque steer on Top Gear

My cousin had a 2010, and it was hell keeping it under 45 in town.

I owned mazdaspeed3 for 2 years. It was an extremely fun car and it was the first car I had driven on a racetrack (road course) I just recently sold it only to find out shortly after that the new owner totaled it out of a lack of respect for how rowdy that car could get and how hard it could bite if you weren’t careful. I do miss the car but without selling it I couldn’t have gotten my Scion FRS which I absolutely adore

1. 12:59 2013 was the last model year of the MS3, not 2003.
2. I changed my horn (as my stock one died) with 2 hella trumpets (ie not the typical front facing ones) and it now sounds like a normal car horn and is decently loud.
3. Everyone complained about the small nav screen. For the 2013 model, they changed out the radio/head unit to one with a large screen and moved the nav to that so its easier to see.

I like my MS3 and its (thankfully) stock. And i have no desire to add more power as the stock power is enough for what i use it for.

Makes me miss my first gen Mazda3. I had a 2006 2.0l 5pd that i bought for 900$ in 2016 with 180, 000km(111, 000miles). it lasted 4 years 120, 000km(74, 000miles) while i drove it like a madman by day and replaced ball joints by night. Did snow laps and stuff with it at a circuit during a winter. Turned sharp enough to lose tailgaters in curves and turns, was fantastic.

By the time it left for the scrap it had such bad rust holes under that it would fill up with water on rainy days causing the cluster to work intermittently. Only gears 1, 2 and 5 still had teeth so driving it was sometimes rather difficult. On its final day it broke its right side CV shaft at the knuckle after hitting a pothole on the highway. It still made it the last 8km back to my house at minimum speed with the right front tire tire partially rolling dragging and screeching, leaving a trail of brake fluid behind.

The scrapyard guy turned it on to see if it worked before putting it on his truck. He turned the key and it started. Like it did every single time Id ever done it. The thing was still on its factory clutch too lol. Mazda got alot wrong with that car. But on the things they got right, they really knocked out of the park.

I love this car. I hope I win it so I can rub the fact that this one is superior in my neighbors 16yr old sons face since he has a stock non-speed version of this. I'm 37.

As a member of the class of 2022 I can confirm a lot of my classmates wanted these. When we were getting our licensees they were hella depreciated in value, and (at least here in Colorado) it was easier to convince your parents to spot you the cash for a down payment on one of these than it was for a WRX, cuz even in the state where everyone drives a Subaru the WRX still has a reputation for being a dickhead's car (because it is). In comparison the happy BYENH face on the Mazdaspeed 3 was less scary to our concerned parents, so the lucky people among us with parents wealthy enough to buy their kids cars on a loan got these. my parents on the other hand understandably just wanted to buy my car outright so I got a $600 180k mile VW Passat from my dad's coworker and even though mine is also a turbo 4cyl, it's already blown up 1 engine without me trying to add more power, so I'm too scared to bite the bullet and buy a Chinese Ebay turbo kit to push more than the stock 170ish crank HP.

I’ve owned and daily driven a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 for four years. It’s almost at 200, 000 miles and going strong! Although it does have its issues, like weak factory motor mounts, and a weak drivers side CV axle, it’s been a great and fun car. I’m pushing about 23 psi in mine with wiseco pistons and rods. It’s held up great!

That voice activated bluetooth setup sounds just like my 2011 Toyota, and is just as easy to use.

I have a Mazdaspeed Miata, tuned and with a larger intercooler, plus high-flow Borla exhaust, that CAN make up to 280hp (there's a switch to set between "mild" and "wild", and it usually stays in mild, which is 230hp). It's so light and small that 280hp feels like a Mustang or Camaro with 550+. It's more fun than a bag full of coked-out Vietnamese hookers, but it requires a lot of respect on full boost, otherwise you're just going to be upside-down in field with your head lodged in a gopher hole.

I test drove one of these in 2013 before buying my Focus ST. It was a lot of fun to drive but the Focus ST was better suited to my needs at the time. I also felt like the interior was a step down from my previous 2004 Mazda 3 and finding a loaded one in late 2013 was next to impossible. RX8 wheels look great on those

I'm in the class of 2022, thanks for the mention. You can't stop the march of time toward our ends.
