A great drag race, but it would be more realistic if in addition to full fuel, each aircraft was loaded out with their typical compliment of weapons for the intercept mission. That way gross weight and drag factors would be factored in.

It's interesting that both the F-14 and Mirage were a lot slower today whilst the improvement in the Flanker was almost incredible. All very interesting in that it looks like pilot ability makes more of a difference than the driver in F1.

There needs to be all aircraft video for which is the quickest to intercept INCLUDING a cold start.

I'd love to see this with the requirement that you have to have full guns load, 2x BVR AAM, 2x WVR AAM, and fuel and go back to the airbase and land, just like a real world intercept.

Scramble from cold start, intercept at a shorter range, shoot down 1 bomber each, and then land safely back at base.

You should really start these races from rollout. The planes in the back of the order are necessarily disadvantaged. The Mig-31 and F-14 got going almost 20 seconds before the last flanker and mirage just because the other planes were in their way.

I haven't seen the previous races but the mig 23 would also be interesting. In some situations it out accelerates the f-14

Hi Cap, extreme skill challenge: let your team land on the "side" of the Inguri dam. With the F/A-18 and the F-14 it is possible with a little bit of cheating (headwind straight from the dam, some 10-15 knots are sufficient. F/A-18 and F-14 could do it that way. Challenge is to pull up such that the forward movement is almost zero when the wheels touch the dam.
Bonus: let another aircraft fly over the dam and the "landed" aircraft have to shoot it down with AIMs (after they took off).

Another great race, but I kinda wish you had put a human pilot (Violet?) in the Foxhound, it would have been interesting to see if a human could coax the same level of performance that the MiG-31 showed in the last race without blowing an engine or running out of fuel. Just an idea incase you decide to for a 3rd 80s race in the future. 👍

Maybe a race that involves elements of acceleration, top speed and breaking. Maybe a fast straight and the odd tight turn that requires a slower speed.
