Why This SBS Bus Operates Only 7 Days a Year & Only During the Day (SBS Bus Service 405)

Показать описание
SBS Transit Bus Service 405 is not a typical bus route. It only runs seven days a year, and only young male drivers are allowed to operate it, strictly during daylight hours. The bus gained attention recently when SBS Transit introduced it to the public as part of the Singapore Heritage Fest. It was promoted as a secret scary bus ride starting from Boon Lay, which led some people to mistakenly believe it would take them to Yishun. Instead, the bus travelled to cemeteries and columbariums, giving passengers quite a surprise.
This service operates only on specific occasions such as Qing Ming, First Ramadan, Good Friday, Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji, Deepavali, and All Souls' Day. Some of these occasions span several days, while others are just one-day events. Regardless, the bus only runs from 7 am to 5 pm. The rule about young male drivers is not due to ghost stories but rather for safety reasons, as the route passes through very remote areas. The nighttime operation shown during the Heritage Fest was only for tour purposes.
