Madera Canyon is famous for its exotic bird species that are difficult or impossible to find elsewhere in the US. Nestled in the Santa Rita Mountains, Madera Canyon’s various altitudes provide contrasting microclimates that support over 250 bird species. If you’re a bird-lover or nature enthusiast then Madera Canyon is a must-see destination for you. The endemic fauna and bird species offer a completely unique experience that you’ll never forget. With Saguaro National Park nearby, you can add dozens of species to your life list in less than one week. Visit the Sky Island and see what it has in store for you!
I spent over a week at Madera Canyon filming these birds and recording their sounds. It was such an amazing experience that Madera Canyon quickly became one of my favorite birdwatching spots. The natural bird sounds fill the air while colorful birds fill the trees. After enjoying one of the most popular birding spots in the US, I felt compelled to share my experience with you. I hope you learned something from this video or simply enjoyed the beauty of the avian world!

Thank you for this video. I live in Tucson and will surely visit soon to see who is at home in the winter, and again in spring. I am wondering if you have ever seen a very unusual dove, grayish brown with no markings, not graceful looking at all, oddly heavy looking, even kind of surly attitude. I cannot find reference to this bird. We saw two at the entrance to Empire Ranch when they landed on the sign board. I find it intriguing that it is missing from the record.
