It's becoming impossible to play competitive games, the entry level investment with lets say a 240hz monitor and a decent rtx goes beyond 1k and to top it off consoles added crossplay to most popular competitive games which means we are now in P2W hardware climate, where the best GPU pair with the best monitor will grant an huge competitive advantage. The responsibility is up to the game developers to keep it fair, set standards, so everyone can have at least a chance... lets say, cap at 240fps/hz.
