Today marks the 5th anniversary of The Lego Ninjago Movie, no wonder every year since has gotten progressively worse
Since this movie is now half a decade old, I decided to look back at the movie and everything else it spawned such as the tie in video game and sets, even including the cancelled version of the film which spoiler alert is 1,000,000,000,000,000x better than what we got in the end

If you enjoyed this video why not give it a like and subscribe to the channel? It only costs your soul

Special thanks to DuckBricks for letting me shamelessly steal footage from one of his fantastic videos that you can watch on his channel with this link:

Today I learned that Kai and Cole did in fact have more than 3 total lines of dialogue in the Ninjago Movie

ngl we could have gotten a ninjago movie that is canon to be a prequel to the show it would have been so good

Honestly this movie reminded me of the stories I used to make as a kid while playing with Legos. Where everything I saw could fit into the story I created in my head

I dunno why but I liked the movie for 5 reasons:
5- the sets
4- the new Nya design who really looks like a girl a bit more than the OG design ( no offense)
3- the cat and other funny moments in the movie
2- Garmadon is really amazing and funny
1- Koko is a way more caring mother than Misako is

The way I see it, this movie just uses characters I already know and love to tell a story about a broken family coming back together. And I think it’s beautifully done, which is why it’s my favorite movie ever

Did it ever suck? I mean, sure it was different from the show but it was supposed to be a funny little spinoff. And the seasons that followed (Oni trilogy) were amazing! Changed the show for the better, honestly.

"And his scar was on the wrong side" ironic considering how much Kai's Voice actor seems to be inspired by Dante Basco's performances with a bit of both Zuko and Jake Long.

I think an awesome idea for the back in time plot would be, they go back in time and save garmadon, but in the process lloyd discovers the wu was the one that wrote the letter, lloyd does the right thing and does not let garmadon sign the letter. The do eventually save garmadon but when the ninja go back to the present, lloyd fades away, since he never existed. I think it would bring a dark tone to the movie

Not even kidding this is my favorite movie. It speaks so much to me in my teen years and I watched it like a million times.

Okay I'm saying this before I have watched the video: I loved this movie! It had some action, emotional moments and hella funny scenes! The final enemy was a CAT! A frickin CAT! The dynamic between Lloyd and Garmadon was cool aswell and the outfits the ninjas wore were awesome. Of course, it isn't a part of the main timeline, but when I watched it, I didn't care about that, all I wanted was a good time at the movies. And boy did I have that! The only problem I had with this movie is how it affected the main timeline with the ninjas looks, but even that had a good side: Garmadon got back to the main timeline!! I also need to say, the placeholders for the movie in 2016 were actually good. I know many people disliked DotD, but I think it was a good addition to the series, even Morro got his return. And the dark Island trilogy is not as hated, but I still want to say: It's really fun.
So, the movie did both good and bad things...
Good things: Cole isn't a ghost anymore; we *technically* got a extra scene from the Lego movie, we got the first ever (I think) canon comic for Ninjago, we got a fun movie for kids, and Garmadon is back (did I miss something?)
Bad things: The movie itself is not canon and not as good as most seasons of the show
So yeah, there it is: The movie is actually kinda good

I think that the Oni Trilogy would've made a good movie.

My problem with the Lego Ninjago Movie is that Lloyd is supposed to be the Spyro of the Ninja, being the green ninja whereas Spyro is the purple dragon.
