The lyric that gets me most from Tom Lehrer is when he mentions in 'We Will All Go Together When We Go':

Public paranoia about being nuked was very high throughout the Cold War era. Off the top of my head I can think of at least three bomb songs by Lehrer: this one, "So Long, Mom" and "We Will All Go Together When We Go." Oh yeah, and the one about the Wild West also talks about nuclear testing in the western US.

Fun fact! The Doomsday Clock, also known as The Atomic Clock and the Nuclear Clock (The time it will take till The Apocalypse and we destroy ourselves) is standing at the shortest time ever recorded.
