To the rated R movie person: Don't get your teacher in trouble or risk making him lose his job over something like that. I don't mean to sound rude, but if you can't handle hearing curse words to the point where you'd tell on some teacher, then I'm not sure you would be able to handle having a job with co-workers one day or being out in the real world...I had to learn that the hard way, so I know from experience so I know it's tough and definitely something that isn't easy to get used to. But seriously, don't take this man's job away from him. That wouldn't be right, in my opinion. If the movie had other inappropriate content (like sensual type stuff) then that would be a different issue and would be more reportable for sure. Also, chances are, he might be a little nervous you might report him since you confronted him about it. So, he probably won't even show a movie like that again.

Absolutely think people should respect each others boundaries even if they seem silly, but I also am concerned about the amount of guilt a grown woman is feeling about kissing on the cheek a lot and being held. I think a lot of the stricter boundaries make sense when people are teens because that's when your primed to do things you can't undo after the heat of the moment. Obviously people of any age can, but the older you are, the more your prefrontal cortex is developed and you can make better decisions about how much you trust going forward with someone. Also, something that sheltered kids (such as myself) don't often get told is that some people need physical affection to feel loved (not an excuse to cross boundaries, but maybe a reason to examine if this guy is bad for wanting to kiss you on the lips). Most christian people feel like engagement is basically a no turning back point, and its a lot to ask of someone to want to commit their entire lives to you when they might not even be sure you're all that attracted to them. That's just some thoughts from a 26yr old Christian woman who got married at 19 and had a LOT of difficulty not feeling bad about physical intimacy WHEN married. I get wanting to be sure and pure and right before God, but I think sometimes we take it a little far, esp when talking about adults, not teens.
