I was 11 when I saw this in my favorite mall. Now that theater is no more. Now at 28, this still makes me cry. I miss 2002-2005 when things felt at ease. Gamecube, Drake and Josh, Yugioh and Harry Potter.

The fact that this movie didn’t get nominated, or EVEN WON the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature of 2004 makes me furious.

This was the best send-off Stephen Hillenburg could’ve given us, and while yes, there’s quite a few good modern episodes, Nick really should’ve just ended SpongeBob when he left and let the show end.
