We need to take note of the South African captain's comments after the match; he did not take the opportunity to be triumphalist; he congratulated his boys, but also emphasised that he wanted us to join him in supporting the SA citizens who are struggling to make a living in the country. Hats off to a decent man.

Is there a nicer, more humble and more ruthlessly uncompromising sportsperson than Siya Kolisi?
So hard not to like him. There is so much that people can learn from such a man.
Congrats to the Bokke!

Kiwi here. Congrats to SA. Its always going to be a tough game between these two giants of Rugby. Sports is full of questionable calls although frustrating at at the highest level. Nonetheless its something all professional teams have to deal with. So big congrats to SA and hopefully our boys can return the favour in the next one. Can't go past the beautiful humanity of Kolisi. What a man

Absolutely love to see the positive comments and amazing respect from both Boks and Kiwi supporters for both teams! Sport can unite us all, including rivals. Well done Bokke!

Respect from a die hard South African. I just realised again this evening that no team will ever come close to the AB's in broken play. Even in general backline attack too. You just have a beautiful "gliding" way when your backline is in full flow. It looks so effortless. A "superteam" in my opinion would be the forwards of the Boks combined with the backs of the AB's...(Not only in this current era but in past eras too).
Let the B&I Lions come...

Both excellent teams. All class and amazing sportsmanship. I can only dream my American athletes display 1% of this talent and sportsmanship in our popular sports.

Kiwi here, Congratulations to the 'Boks, it's not the players fault if the ref wants to award a non try, it has happened to us a few times, Springbok captain is a special man.

Why Jordi Barratt is kicking the ball in the final minute of the game knowing they needed a try is beyond me.

Hats off to South Africa for the win but our men can hold their heads high as well, that was an intense test match. Some beautiful counter attacking rugby and some really good tries from the All Blacks. Ill discipline once again very costly but we didn't take a backward step and played tough and that's something to be proud of and build on. No loss is easy to accept as an All Blacks supporter but when your team shows some real heart and effort I can live with that. You can start to see the team gelling and connecting so onwards and upwards just sort that discipline, win the key moments and we'll go places

Always a pleasure hosting the ABs. Fantastic team and an honor to share a field with the NZ team.

As a South African, I hate to say it but that was 100% a knock on. We didn’t deserve those 5 points

England fan here. Top game between two really really good sides. Credit to the All Blacks, they’re showing how they’re building and forming their own identity under the new coach. Boks are a solid machine and hard to turn over. With how these guys are playing, England improving a touch, Ireland doing well, hopefully we’re in for some top games this year.

Great contest, don't know about the first south Africa try, he lost control of the ball, in these tight games someone upstairs didn't do their job 😳

As an ALLBLACKS supporter, that game was intense. Well done Springboks. Three on the trot against us, the pain is real.

As an Australian I dislike both teams equally but I will say the fact the TMO/Ref didn't even look at the try (knock on) at 0:52 is beyond me. I mean, how many times has the TMO interrupted the game to go back 15 phases for a slight infringement in the ruck, and then called a penalty? Yet no one even looked at this? crazy. Rugby is kind of broken when it comes to this stuff, when two teams have similar skill it really just comes down to how the ref feels that day lol.

I don't know. This referee team was pretty shocking. I'm a bok supporter and I'm really glad that we won, but there are some calls that really didn't sit right with me. The bongi try, multiple seatbelt tackles missed, playing off feet. Refs looked like amateurs out there.

Honestly, I am not very happy that we won in this manner. NZ had us beat and if it wasn't for the dogwater officiating we probably would not have been able to win this weekend. I wouldn't think less of an All Black supporter for pointing this out. We need to do better next weekend.

As a South African fan, I’ve sort of come to accept that there are marginal calls that go for you and against you throughout the game. That’s just part of the game. But I can see why kiwi fans are upset.

Well played to both teams. It was another truly epic contest between two amazing rugby nations. The ABs showed that they are a long way from being a spent force.
