I love the idea of the bookshelves being on the tall solid wall, you could even vary the heights of them and make it eclectic if you are inclined! I love that Felicity is living with you!!

I remember buying the Downton Abbey teas a few years ago! And that Teavana peach tea is my favorite! It’s so light but still very flavorful. Last summer, I used to make iced tea out of it and it was such a great treat to have while laying by the pool!

I poured myself a large mug of cinnamon apple spice tea to enjoy while I watched your lovely vlog. I hope to start the Thrawn Trilogy this year. The lecture and documentary on Noah's ark sound fascinating. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

congrats on your new little home!! I LOVE Mary Stewart!! I did them all on Kindle, but I think the covers are so pretty....she's one of my favorite writers ! Charles Spurgeon also has a devotional called morning and evening that is still very popular and highly recommended all these years later! You may want to check that out too!

I enjoyed your Book Depository commentary. The same thing happened to me only in reverse. I wanted the vintage travel poster covers and couldn’t find them anywhere. I finally asked and found out they just have the wrong thumbnail on BD. I was so happy to finally start getting them. I was less pleased, however, when I ordered A Prayer for Owen Meany with the armadillo cover and got the baseball cover. Frustrations! They told me the ISBN story, too. I read all the Mary Stewart’s with Kate Howe and crew. We commented on how much darker the Michael one was. The rest are normal Mary Stewart. There is also a shorter one (novella/short story collection maybe?) that is just not very good. The rest we really enjoyed.

Ooh, Emma, I can’t wait to see how you decorate your new space for each season!

I’m reading a study on the life of Paul by Charles Swindoll, and I happened to find a series on Our Daily Bread on YouTube called In Pursuit of Paul, which follows Paul’s journey. I absolutely am enjoying seeing the locations and places he visited on his mission trips.

Oh and 9 Coaches Waiting is one of my fav Mary Stewart's! If you enjoy it, check out author Barbara Michaels' (which is Elizabeth Peters' author of the Amelia Peabody mysteries pen name) range of cozy gothic mysteries that were popular in the 70's and 80's. They're a lot of fun on a rainy night, but nothing too intense.. a little romance and mystery and maybe a ghost or two 😄

WHOA!! I haven't seen the DFR cover in decades. I read that trilogy when I was in my early 20's (1990's). Had them all in hardcover. T. Zahn had a way greater understanding of the OG characters than JJ Abrams could ever hope for. THIS is the true sequel trilogy IMO. In my mind's eye, I had cast Jeremy Irons as Thrawn, and Timothy Dalton as Karrde. I think I read the Thrawn trilogy twice within 6 years. T. Zahn has an all-new prequel Thrawn trilogy available now that I've not read yet.

Congrats on the new pad. Just moved into a new place myself.

Ooh, Nine Coaches Waiting is one of my favorites by Mary Stewart! I think it might be one of the most suspenseful books I've ever read, too--I stayed up late one night reading it because I just HAD to find out what happened next! I don't remember it as being too dark, though, and I'm really sensitive to that kind of thing. I also once experienced the identical ISBN/different cover issue when trying to track down some particular editions of A. A. Milne's Pooh books and children's poetry books to complete a collection, which was super frustrating, but in the end I wound up ordering from used booksellers who put up photos of the actual book they were selling so I could be certain of getting the right one!

Looking forward to seeing the new place. I just received the Jeeves collection because of your shared joy over the characters and of the author Wodehouse.

I love the way that you read. I wish you could be my personal narrator. Haha. In fact, I have found myself reading in your voice.
I'm so excited for you and this chapter of your life. And as always, thanks for sharing! 💕

Ahh, I always look forward to your reading vlogs. They have become a very fun part of my monthly routine. :) Amazing video as always Emma! Your videos are the perfect combination of visual/aesthetic shots with the meatier discussion of literature. Couldn't ask for anything better! <3
It's so funny that you talked about the Irving Finkel lecture, I actually own his book! I'm not sure if you know about the book, but I have been wanting to read it for ages. Hmm, maybe that will have to move up the tbr.
All the best! <3
