Well, to be fair, Tim Burton’s vision was to be more adaptive to the source material than the 1974 film. The latter did deviate a little from the source material and added their own plot elements.

The original film is rewatchable. This last one is not. I’ve seen it once and that was it. Nothing against Johnny Depp or Tim Burton, it just doesn’t do it for me.
