Trinis do you KNOW YOUR RIGHTS if you are pulled over by Police? No, it is not quite the same as what you see in the US movies. Watch the WHOLE video and then comment here with your thoughts. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE for FREE and look at my other crime / police videos on JB's Man Cave.

Great info, this is something every citizen in Trinidad and Tobago should know and the government should make an incentive to inform them as such. Good to have this video JB!

Well, Mr.JBMancave, I see your information as very insightful, but there are those rookie officers that just plain don't know the law, ignorant and use their uniforms as an intimidiatry tactics.
As you said, if they pull you over and ask for license and insurance and say they're doing routine checks, presents what they ask for, then return your credentials along with a ticket say that an illegal right turn was in violation on a dual carriage way heading from work which I take everyday, in one direction, how do you address that situation. On top of that you get attitude from the officer by asking why was a ticket issued, she turns and walks off.
But these day it is in MY opinion that, the police don't know who to target. Yuh know how granny used to say "Monkey kno wah tree to clime "

hi... listened attentively and would say that I agree... mostly. However, although Police Officers are human like us all and have good and bad days... they work with the RULE OF LAW... and... are to BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL. I could argue that a Firefighter is also human.. and could have good and bad days... but that Firefighter's bad day may cause loss of life. Is it the same reasoning to be used??

Question about your list of personal observations. Are all items listed against the law, though?

Admittedly, the law in TnT is different to the USA and not by any great degree. Only a police officer in police uniform can demand the production of your driving documents. From the moment you are stopped by a police officer from going about your lawful business, you are under arrest. An arrest does not mean that you will be charged for an offence. An officer may request your name and address. You are under no obligation to provide him/ her, or any other information. There is no general powers of search and seizure of your person and property. This means an officer should not just stop and search you, or your property without reasonable grounds of suspicion of the commission of a crime, you are about to commit a crime, or you have commited a crime, the details about which you should be told. The other information given are on point.

So where in law are they permitted to rough up students to correct the school uniform. Maybe not breed the hatred of police from a young age
