A design influenced by over 50 years of hand loom craftsmanship, our new Model L4 boasts a generous weaving width of 45 inches, with 4 harnesses and 6 treadles. It's perfect for weavers seeking to expand capabilities and flexibility for their craft. Combining the user-friendly design of our portable floor looms with the robustness of our rug looms, the L4 features customizable breast and warp tubes that bolster stability and while easily detachable for convenience.

It incorporates an innovative tie-up mechanism utilizing "snap chains" for enhanced reliability compared to traditional cords, knots, or wires prone to slipping. This system ensures swift, straightforward, and secure adjustments for any combination of treadles and harnesses.

Equipped with a friction brake for precise tension control and an adaptable beater to accommodate various reed dimensions, our looms offer an unparalleled weaving experience.

Effortlessly foldable without disassembling hardware, our floor looms will fit through most standard doorways, even when fully warped, preserving the tie-up configuration.

The L4 is our first loom to offer a built-in version of our innovative Tensioning Device. This provides adjustable even tension to meet varying warp demands, ensuring consistent winding with every warp.

Meticulously handcrafted from hard rock maple in New Hampshire, the L4 is intended to be a permanent fixture in any studio and arrives fully assembled for immediate use.

Not a fan of the colored beam unless it's wood tone, white or purple. I am assuming the reason for the removable beam is to make threading the heddles easier once the back is folded up against the castle?
