Top 10 Books of the Year (2019)

It took SO long to figure out what the best books of the 2019 year for me...and I know it's a little early but hey, now you know what to buy your turtle for Christmas.

Let me know what you top books of the year are down below. Any of ours overlap? Thanks so much for watching!

P.s. Let's just pretend that it didn't take me an inordinate amount of time matching the books to the right music.

P.p.s. I fully acknowledge that I misspelled Darkdawn, though in my defense, I went audiobook with this one so I legit thought the book was Darkdown :P It's one of those perks for always listening and never reading the text....and it looks like YouTube disabled annotations. Ah well. I guess we will all have to live with my spelling shame.

How in the living f*** did you read 316 books in one year? I'm so shocked and impressed that I can't even think of a another way of asking
Ps: loved the barns and noble editions

Great list! I like that there's little of everything on it. I can't wait to continue the Nevernight Chronicles! Nevernight was one of my favorite reads this year! Also really enjoyed The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. The audiobook was really well done.

Thanks Miranda! I got here by reading your review on Alex North's The Whisper Man, which I just finished. Cool to see it on your list! There are a couple novels on there that I'm interested to picking up now, thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks for the engaging and interesting list, I'm definitely checking some of these out! I really like the style and decor of your reviews, you come across so nice! Anyway, my suggestion is: Put the titles of the books in blurb under the video next time, for cut & paste convenience, as people search for them on whatever site they might want to get them, or get a second opinion....Please keep vlogging, you're a natural.... Hope the thesis is coming along well...

I read the NeverNight chronicles after watching this review 4days ago. And you're right, I regretted it. I regretted that I've already finished the trilogy. What the hell am I supposed to do with myself now?

That's amazing! I'm a fast reader but there's no way I can get 316 books in a year. I'm really impressed! Thanks to this video I have added The Need and Unnatural Magic to my TBR. I need to review the Whisper Man at some point. I definitely enjoyed it too.

Loved your inputs and your voice! Hope you don't take this the wrong way but I think a little bit more editing so that the video can be a bit more dynamic and with fewer pauses would be great (:

I am also running out of room very quickly. I stopped using my library not because I don't love them but because the overdue fines got so exspensive that I couldn't afford to keep forgetting to return books :/

Oh! Darling Rose Gold only made the honorable mentions! I ended up giving it four stars. It was good but not RETURN good.

I wasn't a fan of The Need. I neither hated it nor loved it. It was just weird. Then again, I was running it on a pool deck under the sun, on a 101 degree day in the summer so... that added heatstroke to the already weird book.

I also loved Nina Hill! OMG, I smiled so, so much while reading that book. I mean, I felt like someone made a duplicate of me and put it in a book.

I still need to read the Whisper Man. Macmillan Audio sent me the audio file but I keep forgetting to read it.

YASS!! I'm still so happy you liked the Return.. Such a spoopy book. yes, you need to read scary books! but watch out for Stephen King. His books are scary but really weird. I recommend Little Darlings

Maybe it's just me but Bleak Creek gives me middle grade vibes rather than YA vibes. Also, it totally reminds me of The Mysterious Benedict Society.

I'm posting a sugar cookie video sometime soon but I love this idea too. I have hard time choosing favorites though
