How Do We Know The Milky Way Is A Spiral Galaxy?

We can clearly see with our telescopes that our nearest galaxy Andromeda is a spiral type galaxy. We can also observe other galaxies and define their shapes as well. But we can't observe the Milky Way as a whole because we are living inside of it.
This is how astronomers know about the shape of the Milky Way.
