Love that you mentioned Her. That film is just incredible. Its so relatable to me because I feel like my true love can be far far away or near you if you have trouble communicating in the real world. I don't watch alot of romance movies but ones I recently enjoyed are Blue is the Warmest Colour, It Happened One Night, and Man Up.

The Before Trilogy is a personal favorite trilogy of mine, I always say to people those are movies that do romance perfectly. Her is a great gem of a film as well and Beauty & The Beast is my favorite Disney movie, right there with Fantasia and The Lion King. Eternal Sunshine is amazing, one of the best screenplays by Charlie Kauffman.

Absolutely love some of your choices :) Her, Beauty and the Beast and Eternal Sunshine are some of my all-time favourites films and I still haven't seen those last two. Off the top of my head I will say those 3 plus Casablanca, Carol, Lost In Translation, WALL-E and does The Crow count? One of the things that makes that film so great is the tragic romance.

The romance or romcom genre is my least favorite genre because most of the time i find it cheesy and cliche and i also dont like it for personal reasons to be honest. But i still have some movies that i love that have romance in them. I hope that counts to. They are in no particular order.

5: Dirty Dancing (cheesy i know but for some reason i like that one)

9: Grease (also cheesy but i'm a fan of musicals)
10: 50/50
11: The Hunchback of the Notre Dam (Disney version)
12: Lady And the Tramp

These are some of my favorites. Some of them are cliche but they still make me happy like Dirty Dancing or Grease. And with others like Up, Les Miserable and 50/50 and even The Hunchback they always make me cry.

Casablanca i saw last year on Netflix for the first time and i loved it. I'm not that familiar with the old classics cause as a kid i was only interested in the blockbusters and actionfilms. But now that i'm getting older and reviewing movies myself i'm more interested in those movies and all the other movies i missed.

The fly is one of my favorite horrorfilms and it has a romance story in it as well. It always manages to scare me. And The Lion King wil probably always be my favorite animated film. The story, music, animation, cast is all perfect! And with Beauty and the beast i agree with everything you said.

And with Lady and the Tramp, just hearing the Bella Notte song makes me smile as well. And the movie is beautiful to. I LOVE 30s/40s/50s/ music, so the classic Disney music with the opening credits and the choir and everything always makes me smile. :)

I actually slightly prefer Before Sunrise to Before Sunset, but I think they're both amazing. I haven't seen Before Midnight yet, but I will soon. And I WILL watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I promise! There's not a lot to do down here in your basement closet :)
