Snow Storms are Back | Snowy Countryside in Belarus

Back in spring I was wondering what this winter might bring. When weather patterns change, they always affect all of the seasons. The snow storm that was raging for almost a week was another sign of some really important changes.
If I didn't have the polytunnel, I would surely enjoy every bit of it. Alas, my joy is destined to be part of constant worry.
In any case, saying "good-bye" to the toughest year is both uplifting and uncertain.

There is a real winter there! I love when is snowing despite the work involved in removing the snow from here and there.

Seems Mother Nature is being unkind to everyone this year, dumping loads of snow across the globe, even in countries that never see it except we got our share and then a week later it melted back to green and grey lands. So Happy New Year when it come Kat and may yours be a splendid one !!

In the winter I set up compost heating systems in the polytunnels. It's easy to do, It keeps the temperature above freezing and so has the effect of stopping accumulation of snow on the polytunnel roof and you get a load of compost at the end, win win! Also I put a few chickens in so my egg production doesn't stop. I hope you and your family have a blessed 2023.
