Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Hong Kong on June 30, 2022, on the eve of celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the city's return to Chinese rule. Xi disembarked from a train after it arrived at Hong Kong’s West Kowloon high-speed railway terminus, where he was greeted by officials and a crowd of well-wishers.
