Rest in peace, thank you for all the memories you gave us in the game. A Tribute Combo Video for Kiyoyuki Yanada, showcasing the most breathtaking and stylish Jotaro combos from players such as Aleph Null, Posterd, Erlikos, and myself.

One of the reasons why I started playing this game was because of his Jotaro's silly "Yare Yare Daze." His "ORAs" and "Za Warudo" were pretty funky too. I thought they sounded a bit too robotic at first, but the more I heard them, the more "unique" it sounded. Unlike Jotaro's VA in the anime, Yanada's voice for Star Platinum sounded so different from Jotaro, like there is a clear distinction for whoever was talking. As someone who is interested in the smallest of details, I really loved it whether it was intentional or not.

Ever since I got bodied by Kreits' Jotaro around 6 months ago, my passion ignited once again for this character. With some labbing and grinding, I've already been thinking of "officially" switching my main to Jotaro around that time, and Yanada's amazing and satisfying voice certainly made the whole experience more fun. I definitely also had some bad memories when fighting this character, but what can I say? Yanada just made the character too cool!

I never expected his passing to be so sudden, he shaped so many people's childhood not just in the JoJo franchise, but in many other games and anime shows. You will be missed, but never forgotten, for you will always be remembered in our memories and in our games. Fly high in the heavens, Kiyoyuki Yanada!

A man who's voice inspired and drove me into the world of fighting games when I was a child.
I still play hftf, and as a jotaro main, i hear his voice constantly. I fear the day that I move on from this amazing game that I have played for so long, and when I return, if I can return, hearing his voice will drive me into the threshold of nostalgia. There have been better days in my life, and there have been worse; but one things for certain, I will never forget the memories I have made in this game, the inside jokes with my friends built around voice lines shouted back and forth; and certainly, I will never forget that glorious pixelated jotaro voice, Triumphantly and pridefully yelling "STAR PLATINUM! ZA WARUDO!" and "Soshite Toki wa Ugokidasu" when I beat the friend in the group that everyone acknowledged was the best of us all. I will always remember "Temee wa ore o okoraseta" ringing out over enraged competitive yelling and excitement after I hit a perfect timestop setup when I won that tournament with all of my closest friends and everyone was going electric. It felt like I had dethroned a king, it felt LIKE an anime moment, where the hero beats the big bad with all the stakes on the line. (500 dollar bet). I have never shyed away from fighting games since, and we still quote those voice lines to this day. This game has become a part of me, and so has his voice.

Kiyoyuki Yanada, always STAND PROUD, and strike your fist into the heavens with one last, prideful "ORA!"

I’m upset that I only heard about this now. HFTF is an important piece of media for pre-anime JoJo fans. Kiyoyuki Yanada did a perfect job at playing Jotaro; a faithful, fitting, and well executed imagination of his voice. My favorite line has to be “the only reason why you lost”. Chilling vibe.

More new/modern JoJo fans need to try out HFTF. The people behind the game are huge JoJo fans who put soul, passion, and love into the game. Just look at both Joseph’s supers. The panels in the background go HARD.

its only been a week and im still trying to comprehend this. it was actually this game that got me into jojos and not the memes or the anime/manga. playing this godlike game during school lunchbreaks with my friends was a dream and hearing jotaro's ora ora's was the most badass thing ever.
