This video is about a sailing family adventure. They explore Vathy on Ithaca - first walking tour through the vibrant town and cobbled streets before hiking through its wilderness and rural planes. They then spend a solo day exploring a secluded beach with no one around. Sarankiniko bay - there is a lot of ancient Greek mythology educated to the audience in this video.

The mythological history was quite nice to learn. The views during your hike of Vathi along with the special inlet beach you all arrived at were gorgeous. So nice to see you all enjoying the adventure as a family. The mountains and vast variety of tree's were incredible to learn about and see. I hope you all did enjoy a nice evening meal and grabbed some needed rest to continue the next day's sail, looking forward to see what you share next! Be safe and well...

Well since you guys have strayed back into the Ionian.. and its high season for Charters... head south to the little port of Poros... there is a bar just to the right of the town docks... and it has a wonderful sitting area in a hole in the rocks... its fun... and there is a very nice restaurant up on the side of the cliff... then as the charters push out from their bases.. head further south to Agristoli... and watch as the sea turtles fill the harbor when the fishing boats come in... have some great home cooking at the place across from the port police office... very friendly town.. and i love the walking street in Agristoli... and the people watching and food is amazing.. this town center is still used by the locals. lots to do and see.. and when you need a swim day.. go into the north end of the bay.... so much to see and do... and there is a restaurant that predates the earthquake... and its owner.. used to be a boy that rolled barrels in the harbor to clean them for his dad... he remembers everything.. and if you watch.. and ask nice.. he will tell you all about the earthquake... its just down past the fish market... and near the turtle bridge. Nice to see things going well for you on this one... Vathy has neve been a place I like to go.. but its a good big harbor.. but has a nasty katabatic wind in the afternoon. love your history of the area. its a great fill for your videos.. And wait... you guys were over in the now your back in the Ionian on Maganisi... well sailing is better here... no Meltimi. Hope to say hi in a few weeks.. keep an eye out for ICE BEAR.
