Honestly, I'm just really impressed by the amount of work that went into producing an intelligently designed website where the target demo is kids. I really appreciate when studios take the time to create something with a lot of depth, even if it is for children's media. I feel like it shows this sort of respect for kid's intellect, even if they can't quite process it correctly yet. It's like how those studies show that if babies and tots are spoken to without "baby talk", they tend to have a higher vocab than those that do.

The funny thing about this meme is that I remember playing the Big and Small game as a kid, and would have never predicted that the brushing teeth mini game would become a meme.

As a British child born in 2004 I fondly remember logging onto my mums laptop to destroy the orange gremlin small with a f*cking toothbrush and forcing him to play a comically large trombone

My interest in Big & Small has peaked again these past couple years, particularly the OG Canadian version featuring Todd Doldersum and Jason Hopley, as that was the version I watched on VOD back in 2011. I revisited the British dub featuring Lenny Henry as well.

I also remember checking out this game on the CBeebies website around the same time, back when their website wasn’t restricted to only the UK. Just to see this specific part of the teeth brushing minigame become a meme makes me feel great to know that Big & Small are still being remembered and appreciated fondly! I’m glad I’m not the only one who does!😄
