I saw heaven's gate and hell's flame at the church I was attending, then I was recruited to be one of the angels the following year. I believed all of it, as a teenager I "accepted Jesus into my heart" many, many times out of fear of going to hell. It has been a long journey of over 30 years, but praise be to Jesus Christ, He brought me to the true understanding of Gospel and salvation. I was deep to my eyeballs in charismatic movement, but God's power to set His people free is unmatched. I am so humbled and grateful to the grace of God in Jesus Christ. I really appreciate both of you working to point the truth back to Christ and the truth of the gospel. This time last year I was deep into OCD agony desperate for relief and started going to a NAR type church because I was desperate and in January I had hit rock bottom and American Gospel: In Christ Alone really helped me detach from the works based approach of NAR and separate truth from lies and the twisting of scripture. I have bad knees and so does my husband. I’ve had a charismatic person tell me that God wants me to have a full life without pain. I believe God does heal but He heals if it’s His will and for His glory! I still trust my Lord for everything in my life every day. My husband and I are on social security…not living big at all…just trusting God daily.

Michael Brown stacking his books and papers up as an indicator of his authority or deeper understanding than common believers and detractors is just so flesh guided. Could you imagine the Apostle Paul amidst accusers and scoffers having his scribes produce a pile of scrolls and papers and saying “Show them all the awesome things Ive written” and now let them try to debate me. It’s just not something I see the Spirit of God compelling a true teacher of the Gospel to do. 🤷‍♂️

Oh my goodness!!! This guy's story is MY story! I mean- REALLY, in almost every particular, down to the timing of the dawning of Truth in my heart! Incredible. I can't believe how many times I've said "Me too!" within the first three minutes of this interview! survivor here! Thank you both for a great interview. I attend an AOG church and do not affirm their teachings. I see great doctrinal ignorance in the Charismatic church as a whole. I’ve seen all of the AG series and they opened my eyes to the deception in the church today. It’s almost like if you are doctrinally sound then you’re in error.
