My music producing "career" started many years in ProTracker on the Amiga 500, however not very successful. In recent years I have picked it up again as a hobby, and it is quite fun. Scaler is indeed a game changer for people like me. I don't know much about music theory, but with this software it is possible to learn bit by bit. Getting some basics to work from definitely helps a lot.
David, your videos are always of very high quality and it is a joy just listening even though I don't understand all terms and technicalities.
As long as you continue with this I'll continue to be a loyal and happy customer.

Music library requested an EDM cues with a Middle Eastern flair. Took me 20 seconds to find the correct scale. This is some great tool for us creators who are not experts in music theory. I wouldn't want to do without it

Hi guys, thanks for all the content and updates!! Onya 😊 I have a question that I can’t answer from the manual: is there any way to capture the ‘voice grouping’ variations from the top bar without recording and re-importing the midi? I would like to assign the different voicings to different pads, but they disappear after closing the menu 😅 If there isn’t currently a way, please could I add it as a feature request?

I've been finding Scaler geeat for getting an unitial "chopping" of my chords and then I spice it up with my own style. But I'll give a lot if credit to what Scaler starts with...it becomes the blueprint I follow

I don’t know why I bought scalar 2 instead of torrenting but happy I did

I discovered that I had to set the output of each Logic / Scaler track to its own unique MIDI output channel i.e. Piano --> Track 1, Bass --> Track 2, Synth --> Track 3. This helped me adjust audio levels without interface from adjacent tracks (e.g. the Bass track was causing the Synnth track to "duck" when a bass note was plucked). The sound was similar to that of a Compressor being enable (which I discovered only after I set every track to "No Plugin, St Out, and played with every control that I could possibly think of. No mention of this in the User Manual either, that I could find.
Great product and a great video introduction BTW. These tutorials really help me engage with the product!

Great update. But...

Reaper crashes constantly when using Scaler 2.9. This has never happened before. In another DAW (checked in Ableton) everything works without problems.

Please fix it!

In ableton if you have suite get instawrapper and it’s bus receiver max for live devices for ez multi out midi 🤘🏾
