As indonesian, i dont care. the most important thing is that it cuts 4 hours travel time to only 1 hour, and it's enough

It will eventually fail economically according to the research result of an Indonesian Univ. Whoosh is said to be a twinkling Chinese facade unreasonably too high priced. And the high Chinese interest is another burden. Furthermore, a bad news is Germany announced last June that it decided to no longer supply the high tech HSR parts, including high precision wheels and bearings to China. Japan also followed the Gemany's decision. The HSR train is built with Japan's high precision bearing and bolts. Nowadays, Chinese travelers complain about and are scared by the fact that their HSR train coaches have recently started to uncomfortably vibrate. I hope Whoosh is and will be properly serviced periodically, for preventing critical disasters.

This train won't make profit for 40 years at least according to statistic and plus they need to maintain operation cost. There's still local train goes 38 times per day which is enough not to use hsr unless you are in hurry. Also, they borrowed money to build so technically it's owned by china. Now is still an exciting phase with tons of propaganda so will see the truth in 1~2 years later. then we know what actually happened. Obviously, 1M passengers in 2 month is too low and debts will be built up for sure. For obvious calculation, whoosh making $300, 000.00 debts every month.. They focus on speed in many ways instead of the practicality. They shouldn't have compromised to make train station in the cities.
