Great build!
You could use some master/slave switch for not having to open the door, turn the vacuum and do it again for the closing, just install that switch and the vacuum will start as the miter saw starts.

I absolutely love your technique and the simplicity of the way you run your shop. I have always wanted to do wood working, yet some of us don't have the smarts for it. I'm the some of us. But I sure love watching you do it . Awesome job.

Very cool build. I saw your initial photos and built my own inspired on what I saw in those. It is a treat to be able to collapse the wings when not in use. I used a Rocker dust collection host and an automatic vacuum switch which is great. The switch has a 2nd power outlet so I can use it for other tools as well (like my sander). Thanks for sharing!

Fellow Festool track saw owner here. Just hooking it up to a cheap Ridgid vac does wonders for dust collection. Also an arbor hole cover or just painters tape helps a lot to funnel the dust to vac. I use it with a small Rdigid WD3050 3 Gal vac.

Do you have a link to the folding brackets you used? I know there are tons out there but so many of them aren’t actually at 90 when extended

"Some times I have long hard wood." Uh, TMI, sir. And thanks for making me feel inadequate. Sheesh.

maybe its the set of foldable brackets i received but I built wings for my miter saw and they sag. i always hear mixed reviews on those brackets. some are perfectly 90º, and some aren't. thoughts?

Nice build. Regarding tool reviews, I think there are too many out there already. Typically the price is a pretty accurate measure of comparable tools, and I know that budget is a big part of my choice. That being said, if you come across something that you really like, by all means do a review.

Hi Thomas, thank you for the very nice video. I am clicking on your link for the build plans, but my virus protection warns of an infection and does not let me go further to your site. Could you please verify if your site is safe? I am not sure why I am getting this warning. Thank you!

I absolutely love your work and your personality. What is the brand and model of the screwdriver you use? I would like to buy one because the one I have is weak, but I'm undecided. If the one you use is good for you, then it's good for me ;)

What would be handy on your plans is a rough idea of how my ply etc is needed (Maybe it's there, and I missed it?).

Just subscribed to your channel. Great video. Thanks for the tickle on Shop Nation. I've been looking for something for my Dewalt 782. Which folding brackets did you use?

I enjoyed your channel, but my anti-virus software says your website is malicious! What's up with that??

Heads up For like 40 bucks you can get an automatic switch for the vacuum so it turns on when you pull the trigger for the miter saw

Seems like a lot of tear out even on the taped dado cut. Might need to sharpens them or get a new stack.
