Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64 performed on a dock in beautiful Northport. One of my favorite games!

I record with very basic gear. Gear used for recording:

-Zoom H1n
-Cordoba C7
-GarageBand Reverb

I synced a prerecorded track (of one continuous take) at a nice location for a clean visual. I think the warmth was me playing over the soundhole mixed with proximity effect as I recorded very close to the source.

Turning it acoustic made the song sound like it came from a zelda game to me! Specifically Twilight Princess, like a moment where Midna and Link are having a moment. Great rendition!!!

This is one of the best covers of a video game song I've ever heard. Usually the covers are somewhat stylized and carry a different feeling from the original, but this feels exactly like what Koji Kondo intended, but polished to perfection.
