JACK AND THE BEANSTALK

Jack was a poor boy who lived with his mother. One day his mother asked him to sell their cow to buy food. On his way to the market, Jack met an old man who offered him some magic beans in exchange for the cow. Jack accepted and took the beans home, but his mother was furious and threw them out the window. The next day, a huge bean sprout grew up to the sky. Jack climbed the hedge and came to a castle inhabited by a giant. There, Jack stole a bag of gold, a hen that laid golden eggs, and a magic harp. The giant chased after Jack, but the boy cut the beanstalk before the giant came down. Jack and his mother lived happily ever after from the boy's riches!
