Something I want all “car guys” to realize is that it’s not about how much hp or stance or money you put into a car. This man is smiling driving this accord. And that’s what the car culture should be about. Enjoying the car that you are in.

Tips need to be basically flush with the bumper, maybe even go to 3.5 tips also.

The J series is criminally underrated in the Honda world. I did an OBX catback, Megan Racing test pipe, K&N intake and some others bits on a 2003 EX-L 6-6 coupe just like this but in silver about 12-13 years ago. The thing sounded so damn good.
The exhaust manifolds and factory J pipe are where the car gets really choked up on the exhaust side if you want to make more power and add a bit of volume. A set of TL-S cams is also a great upgrade, and theres even a factory LSD for these.

12 horsepower is a lot for the little you did. Good job.

Dude syncing up taking off the lug nuts to the beat of the music was too good! Those are the details that make Gingium one of my favorites!

Gained 12 hp without a tune, you can actually hear what the engine rpm's are doing now & you accidentally played a game of Mythbusters, Definitely a Win

For some real fun, grab a 05-06 base pilot/van short block and swap out the pistons for 07 TL types S. Bumps you close to 11:1. I did that and swapped the 07 TL type s heads as well. PCD's, ATLS J pipe, tune and 2.5"exhaust has me sitting at 301 wheel and 274TQ. Next is 3" exhaust thanks to this vid! I'm running 13.0 on street tires in the 1/4 at the track

I’ve been waiting for someone to understand the potential of this car the V6 is no joke with a nice body design as well

I’m impressed how you filmed it all yourself. I can imagine everything takes so much longer to do when working cameras and lining up shots.

I owned a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L 6-6 and I love seeing you do everything that I wanted to do to it. I wish I could buy it from you I miss it so much

Now this. Is a tasteful exhaust modification.

THIS is what i like - before mod dyno and after mod dyno! too many YouTubers just show the process, BUT NEVER RESULTS! keep doing it!

Nice vid! 2 KEY things:

-Run the car on Premium 93 or 91 octane. Look it up. It's talked about a lot and is known to give these cars more power. It really woke mine up. Especially with mods. Give it a few days to adjust to Premium and re-learn.

-Before dynoing, after any new mods drive these cars minimum 2-3 days with some good pulls. These cars respond well to mods but need time to adjust. Probably see nicer torque gains and HP on that dyno graph if you do.

I owned the 2005 Accord EX-L V6 in my profile pic for 3 years & 40, 000 miles (220k to 260k). It was my favorite daily BY FAR. Easy and cheap to work on, bountiful parts, performance:MPG ratio spot on, good road feel... I sold it when the engine started to knock, but I wish I just kept driving it until I had to rebuild it.
