I was going to try and scent my candles using vanilla extract but I thought that wouldn't be a good idea because of how flammable it is. That is also interesting how you didn't glue the wick first. I would think that when you put the wick in it wouldn't be straight. I know from experience you can't adjust the wick once it is in the hot wax because the little silver thing at the bottom of the wick comes off.

Thank you for making this. I was liter just told by a beeswax candle/honey seller that honey cannot be mixed into beeswax, which I thought was odd. I didn't expect the whole bottle of course, just a few spoons like you did.

Never put a free floating wick in a jar. It's a fire hazzard! 😊

I tried doing this, but for some reason the honey wasn't mixing with the beeswax. It would collect at the bottom, and when i poured it into the candle mold all of the honey just wait straight to the bottom and when the wax hardened the honey just stayed as honey. How long does it take for the honey to incorporate into the beeswax? Or am I just not doing something right?

Question, is it just ask expensive to make your own as opposed to buying them? I really want to make some really big ones because they are so expensive at the store but not if it’s about the same price. Looking at 5 and 10 lbs on Amazon… how many candles will that make?

How does your beeswax not stick to the bowl? Or how do you clean it, it’s always a mess so I don’t make them anymore. But if I found a cleaner way to do it I would.

That’s one very expensive candle. Vanilla extract and honey are quite expensive. Also, vanilla extract contains a small % of alcohol. Is this even safe??
