At nearly $170k MSRP, it makes me wonder how much breathing room they have left for the Alpina ... Unless of course they're planning to turn the B7 into a Maybach competitor with a stretched wheelbase and everything.

I like the two sewer grates improvised for the grill, its very rat rod looking and cool.
The side profile looks like a baby Dodge Charger with a Ford back window 😂You can't un see it now can you.

I'm not an EV guy, but the i7 makes the most sense as the base 50 model. If you truly wanted a "sports EV", wouldn't you just go for Porsche? Save the money and go all in on the luxury (and range). The 19" wheels will ride better and the non-M body brings it (slightly) more in line with Rolls Royce.

Great video, as usual, MotoMan!

While this isn't my cup of tea, I appreciate what it is. I agree, that manufacturers should at least have *one* vehicle in the lineup with the driving dynamics (or close to) of their "flagship" products. Put it in the 60-70ish grand range so normal people can realistically afford it - whether new or used - and enjoy it.

The "look what we can do when there is no budget" thing is great, but keeps the good stuff out of reach for the rest of us!

I tested the i5 M60 and it’s to much for the public road. So I ended up getting an edrive40. But now the ideal version has arrived. The xdrive40 with 380hp. That should be just perfect.

Does anyone know why BMW isn’t offering a proper executive seating package for the new 7 series? The rear seats are still a bench and don’t have the individual 2 seats they used to in the past or that rivals like the s class have

I love most new BMW´s sedans... and the new 7 series i just love it. price is scary high though for a depreciating asset such as this one is. that should also answer you partially the question about it being a future classic. meanwhile batteries are a costly affair.... there will be no classic EV in my eyes, at least a functioning one :)
Seems to be extremely powerful so must be fun but i truly hope infrastructure was much better so anybody buying this car would enjoy it as its finest in long trips with amazing comfort.
