It sounds pretty amazing what you doing, it’s worth getting it fixed now before you do too many road buns as it could go majorly wrong so better fix before you start playing. Harry enjoyed the sheep farming, used to help on the sheep farm and watching a lamb being born is amazing and how quick they get up. Next thing sheep on farm as well as a blue tractor

i think its great your going down the strip and rebuild jobs, shes in great condition overall so its well worth it, be nice once shes got the roll bar back on, although i cant help thinking the front loader needs to go back on, as thats how you really remember it, even if the loaders parts off, all the brackets and rams will still be on, so many people restore theses old girls, and never really put them back how they were, especially when it comes to loaders, which a hell of a lot of these were in all honesty

The only way to restore any old machine is to totally rip it apart and start from scratch.

Half shaft oil seals always were bad on the Massey 35, on your te20 you can grease the rear bearings as there is a grease nipple so that stops them leaking and you can also retrofit a “sureseal” from Agriline to save doing the bearing and collar, but that’s not available for the 35…..

Those crankshaft oil seals were always crap and always did leak as did the cork rocker cover gaskets on the 35, it part and parcel of owning these old tractors. Like owning old landrovers, you know they always leak a bit…

Like a pair of kids at Christmas 😹Hope you can have it all ready for the Local Tractor run. Seems like you have found a really useful mechanic. Have used Agriline and their catalogue is amazing - could waste a day just browsing. Crack On.

Fair play Richard, for unless you have an understanding mate alls that work is going to cost abit at the price off mechanics now

If the tractor is unrestored you probably have Asbestos in the clutch pads, brakes, gaskets and rope seals (and probably more)
