It was a tradition at Florida schools in Broward county to take a 4th grade field trip to at Augustine. I remember drinking from the fountain of youth and it kind of smells like stale buttered popcorn lol

My wife and I just got back today from St. Augustine for our 34th anniversary...the first day we went to the Fountain of Youth...we loved it!!!! Yes, the water was not tasty...but the history was We even brought some of the bottles of water for our friends...but we'll tell then to maybe not drink it...BTW...you can feed the peacocks!...there are 25 cent peanut machines specifically for the peacocks...they all come running when they hear the clicking of the machine...
