Macy is crushed to learn that her fallopian tubes are blocked. Dr. Sanders says more surgery is required to determine if Macy will be able to conceive. Meanwhile, Darla learns she’s pregnant. When Darla confides in Clarke, he responds that she only has one option. Brooke wants to make peace with Massimo since she’s practically engaged to Ridge, but Massimo contends the reason Ridge is holding back is because of the other woman in his life. Brooke insists she has total faith in Ridge, but that doesn’t stop Massimo from suggesting that Brooke go after Dominick. Ridge and Dominick have a barb-filled first meeting. Dominick likes Ridge’s girlfriend, but not Ridge and refuses to take orders from him. Ridge doesn’t care for Dominick either and says it’s no skin off his back if Dominick chooses to leave Marone Industries.

While we have some characters (Massimo, Bridget, Ridge) now often emphasizing that Ridge and Bridget are not biological siblings, the new character Nick quickly reminds everyone that for the rest of the world Bridget and Ridge still are seen as siblings, Ridge is dating the mother of his sister.

For once, Ridge’s bewildered, vaguely stunned derp-face makes total sense when he meets Nick in his office for the first time. As well it should. Can you imagine walking into your office and finding a stranger smoking in your office, belittling you, and stubbing out cigars in your pen holder? Rude.
