I purchased this phone for the camera but the camera isn't great. Takes clear pictures of scenery but pictures of people shows distorted face or looks like patches on face. Selfies aren't great at all and I love to take selfies. I've tried all settings to take pictures of people but the faces are never clear. I can't use these pictures, nor the selfies. They're awful. Had phone a month now and it's beginning to lag quite a bit. It updated to Android 12 yesterday and it lags very badly or freezes. I cannot use the 2nd space feature because the phone continues to freeze and keeps turning on and off. Says UI isn't responding but freezes. Took several minutes of it going on/off. Overall, I love this phone from the start but it seems to now have more issues. I don't want to give up but now that it lags more than it did before the upgrade, I'm not sure what to do. Lagging causes it to take several seconds to respond or freeze. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. I purchased from Amazon and only have a 30 day window to replace which is up. I did read in reviews after 30 days phone started having issues. I still took a chance mostly because I thought I'd get a great camera 108 MP without the high cost. There are other great features on this phone so I don't want to give up so quickly. I'm really hoping someone could give me suggestions because at this point I cannot return or replace it.

Xiaomi really fell from grace this year, first the Xiaomi 12 is a huge disappointment, a throttle mess, and now the budget options are downgraded from last year.

So right now, I have a Redmi Note 5 Pro, but I want to upgrade. Should I go for the Redmi Note 10 5G, 11 Pro 5G, or wait for the Redmi Note 12 5G?

How is the compatibility for the Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in Canada?

I got good price on the phone here in Baku (830₼ or $630 CDN) and so far happy with the phone (had Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S, $270 CDN). I like Super AMOLED screen, microSD slot and 3.5mm jack (for my wired headphones, that never need recharging).

I really dont understand phones are being a major downgrade from previous models... Especially realme... Even if you have older models... You don't feel that excitement to make a purchase in any of these... I have realme 6 pro and seriously i cannot find any phone that a total upgrade... Its frustrating

Does anyone know what the proximity sensor is like on these new Xiaomi phones? The Poco F3 (and other Xiaomi phones) was horrendous, because they were using a software based proximity sensor rather than a physical one.

God, Xiaomi has declined a lot since the last few years. This is basically a Poco X4 Pro 5G with different design. Boring, plain, and unsurprising.

Skip all these and get yourself a Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, It's a night and day difference for the same price as these phones. I got mine for $270 USD
