Finally some fair pundits. Showing Chelsea’s incoming and also their outgoings. Their net spend is much better than that of many clubs

Why is it still just Chelsea. Brighton have spent nearly as much and sold nowhere near

-66 million, to think that if sterling, broja, chilwell and kepa left for a combined total of 100 million we would have been in considerable net profit is seriously good business!!

Chelsea have spend £600
Million roughly on players 8 months ago and last year, they capitalised that over 8 years since the players are on 8 year contracts, so that’s £75 million a year, (600/8), then the football ffp rules changes and they said Todd must do it over 5 years instead of 8 so this years spend will be £300 million ish and will be reducing to £60 million a year. That means Chelsea are losing £75 million from each year, from the spend last year +£60 million this year but Chelsea have also sold £250 million worth of players in 2 transfer windows all for a profit.

Over the 3 windows Chelsea booked somewhere in the region of £200 million worth of transfer gains and they are reducing it by £135 million per year which means they are £65 million in credit on the balance sheet against transfers however of Chelsea dosent pull up revenue this will catch up with them.

If your deprecating that at £135 million per year and you just sold £260 million pounds worth of players (most of them for a profit), you’ve just coverd 18 months of loses and going into next year as well.

Also in the summer of 23/24 season they sold over 145 million worth of players

I mean that’s good business. Minus 60 odd million, pretty impressive business.

When are you people in the media going to understand that simply comparing purchase and sale prices is meaningless. Players who are sold/loaned book all the fees immediately. Players who are purchased have the fee amortoised over the length of the contract. Don't you understand the difference????

This is good, Chelsea is showing a strong capital of money, and many players are willing to come to Chelsea.

Dont forget the wage bill slashed by several millions, so net spend cut to 20-30m.

Zero squad consistency will mean most of their young talented players will get wasted
