selling a put means you think the stock is going up and you would have collateral in order to hold that position.. BUYING a put means you think the stock is going down.. Love all the vids man keep it going!!

Chris, you need to own 100 shares to sell a Call or Put. I think to make it easier for beginners, they should stick ONLY to 'buying' BOTH calls and puts (NOT selling), so that way they can sell the contract for profit, whether it's a Call or Put, without having to own 100 shares first. If they simply 'Sell' a call or put without owning 100 shares already, they will literally just throw away money as they will need to own those shares first in order to sell them. I know this because this is what happened to me a few weeks back when I first started this whole options thing. Lol Took me 4 weeks to understand the basics. Still trying to learn the Greeks and different trading strategies (expert level trading stuff).
