This video was shot by Toby Gad with assistance from Sara, Angelina's mother. It was meant to be simple and raw...production minimalist you might say. It IS the introduction of the song, not the video production, that is first and foremost. Angelina's vocal is the important part, at least to me. Why waste tens of thousands on video production? Would it improve her delivery? I doubt it...IMHO!

This song was co-written with 3 time Grammy winner songwriter/producer Toby Gad. Gad also directed this video as well. He also did the music video for Angelina's cover of his song If I Were A Boy, which was made famous by Beyonce. That video was also rather simplistic as well, her walking around on streets, parks, and neighborhood in an area in London. Yeah, the video could have been more, but I suspect part of the issue is cost. It is Toby's production company, Kite Records, that is putting out this song and not Republic. The video is pretty simple, but the song and her vocals are great!

I think your criticism of the video misses the mark. Bad valentine. Shes alone. Where? At a lovers lane overlooking the city. In what? A red (evil/bad color) Mustang (romantic car) and a convertible where and in the type of car couples used to make out in years gone by. It's an absolute perfect setting for the song with her alone, at least to anyone taking the time to look beyond the obvious. Also, the car is not pristene, crooked door, its hood is dented, damaged, like the relationship. Angelina oversees every detail in her videos. One simply needs to take the time to absorb her artistic decisions, along with the most unique voice alive. God bless.
