I still remember my sister, an airtel customer didn't have internet access as it was costly, but she needed it for college purposes. We decided to try it for a month only for the bill to skyrocket to 350-400 Rs. Then jio came and we enjoyed free 4g internet for almost an year

Jio changed the game they converted internet from high margin low volume product to low margin high volume product.They made India's telecom sector world class with gigafiber and 5g. we literally have one of the best 5g in the world, i remember in early 2010s my father used pay 800rs per month for 1 mbps for 20 gb broadband and 300rs for 1-2gb data, today at my house we are using around 2000GB data monthly though fiber alone.
