Marcus Lemonis- The Profit or The Destroyer?

The RV Wingman finally gives us the name of the one person he believes is to blame for the current state of the RV Industry and for the direction it is heading. In this no-holds-barred rant, he opines on why he believes Marcus Lemonis is responsible for the all time low stock price of CWH and is ultimately responsible for financially burying hundreds of thousands of RVers. God bless the honest, hard-working (silent majority) of men and women in this country who keep things going for everyone else. Post your comments below and share this video. I fell victim to the living the full time RV dream last year. My RV was falling apart before I even bought it. Mine was not made to the specifications that the manufacturer claimed it was supposed to be (Keystone) Then CW did their “manufactures defect repairs”... they ruined my RV! I take responsibility for being uneducated and buying before knowing the truth about CW. This show has helped me learn from my mistakes and offered so much education on how to live with my RV.

So basically people were financing RVs for up to 20 years? And we’re supposed to feel sorry for those people? How about some personal responsibility for peoples individual financial choices.

I think you’re making good points but I don’t think blaming it all on Marcus is either fair or smart. He’s one man, and there have been thousands of greedy players.

Wow, talk about throwing cold water....I mean the good kind that opens your eyes and your mind. As a nearly retired person thinking about buying an RV, this message gives one pause to think it through. This story reminds me of the one about the man (can't remember his name) who single handedly convinced the financial industry it was a good idea to give nearly EVERYONE a credit card and get them on the debt merry-go-round. RVs are the new way to swindle older, trusting, or mostly the financially less educated out of their life savings. Thanks for the message and the warning.

We bought a cargo van and thanks to my husband’s construction skills, he created a beautiful rv that is perfect for us.

Right on... Please keep telling it like it is.... I almost bought what I never could afford. I was buying payments and realized it cause of great videos like yours... Thankyou!!! Last thing I needed was a big camper that couldn't afford... will look used and frugal.

Alan, your opinion and analysis is more spot on than anyone wants to admit. You called it like you saw it, and I agree with you. The RV lifestyle is a great way of life, we just have to collectively and individually figure out how to navigate the potholes and rubber gators in the road. Keep up the Fight! I've got your six !!!

The industry will survive, but it will be not be the same it is today. In some ways it may be better. Manufacturers are gonna need to improve quality. The RV dealers are gonna need to have up front prices and do warranty work in a timely manner, which should be easier since their sales are gonna take years to recover. The ones who are currently doing things right will fair the best.

These loans are the same loans that crashed the housing market. They are sub prime loans and they ruin many people who want an RV more than they want sense.

A newer sub. So happy to hear this being talked about. And you do it brilliantly. I’ve been saying as much, this for years to people wanting to buy a NEW RV. And now that there are people going fulltime, in droves, this is Really important. Thank you for enlightening so many. I’ll be going full time in a year or two, when I can pay CASH for a gently USED (depreciated!😀) rig. I’ll sure appreciate watching you!

Keep preaching... I’m with you Wingman... someone needs to have a platform to take up for us and no one does it better than you ❤️

Without Social Media playing a huge role in the glamorization of full time RV life, Marcus would have never had an opportunity to sell the "payment" instead of the RV. It's basic Supply and Demand economics. The notion that "RV Nomads" and clubs like Escapees, Xscapers and RVers that have well over 100, 000 subscribers telling us how great full time rv living is, along with cheap RV living, have all poured fuel on the fire. Maybe the real root cause of Marcus putting profit ahead of service. Camping World is NOT the first business to take advantage of a 'trend". It's sad really. Keep up the good word. Enjoy the show.

I can’t believe with how many out there knowing how camping world is. That they are still in business. Happy your telling us this thanks warren.

You are a godsend! I am just starting to think about going nomad for the next few years and started thinking about buying an rv or going with a van of some sort.
There are so many things to consider.
As an older female I do not have the experience or capability to fix even small mechanical problems, and the last thing I need is to have rv problems that the dealer will not fix under warranty, or it takes 6 months to get it fixed.
Thank you for voicing your opinion. It helps to have advice from someone experienced in the camping community.

Alan you are 100% correct. What you haven't said is the fire sale of the used RVs that is going to occur and in fact has already started. The banks are going to try to take these RVs back and they are going to to learn the hard cruel facts about RV plummeting value. For someone with a little cash this will be a Feeding Frenzy at the expense of the poor middle-class family that got wrapped up in a 20-year deal. There is no morality in this scenario at all.

Thnx for your passion Alan! I almost fell into the trap but saw Cheyene TV's video and was saved heart ache!!
This industry was harmed by not only one man's greed but Wall St as well.
I'm with you Alan. The industry will come back but how long is the question.
God bless America!!

BRAVO. BRAVO. BRAVO. Absolutely agree. The truth is a tough pill to swallow, and when it is as big as this one is, Well it will have to be taken in bits and pieces. Thank you for being so eloquent. My comments could not be posted. Thank you sir. Keep up the good fight. There are not enough of those like you willing to stand for what is RIGHT, no matter the fight. Thanks again Alan. Best wishes and God's Blessings to you and your family.
