I LOVED OSMAN SM AND HIS DEATH WAS SO SAD TO WATCH AND SEEING THAT HIS MOTHER WASN'T CAPABLE OF REACH HIM ON TIME TO SAVE HIM, IT BROKE MY HEART.

The parallels between Kosem and Hurrem is fascinating. Hurrem's biggest mistake was that she could not love another woman's son enough to trust him and that ended badly. Kosem loved another woman's son too much, more than her own, gave him everything and he betrayed her.

anastasia and this kosem is my favorite character literally ever written in any type of capacity bc she's the epitome of a strong-minded, caring, empathetic, sympathetic person. she took in a little baby when she could've schemed to have him killed. and in return, he kills her first born biological child and sends her away. but, bc her love for him was so strong she still chose to forgive him and see past it so she didn't lose two sons at once. this kosem would've never done any of the things the older kosem did. but kosem as a character is sooo well written. the writers outdid themselves. they didn't disappoint, even until the very end. also, this edit is so gorgeous and heartbreaking. very terrific job!
