The very first bucket of iron ore

50 years ago, the first iron ore concentrate was produced at Ferrexpo Poltava Mining in Ukraine. Since then, over 94,000 people have worked here; and today, Ferrexpo is the world’s third largest supplier of iron ore pellets to the global steel industry. In this series of short films dedicated to our 50th anniversary, the veterans and pioneers of the mine and plant tell their stories of how it all happened. Here is the first film.
