Nikita Kucherov is having a dynamite season so far, and we breakdown why he's been one of the most successful players for the last few years.

People talk about how greasy Kuch is, but they never talk about all the stuff he goes through. It's people's jobs to rough him up, and it never gets anything. Tkachuk has to basically commit murder for anything to get called while Kuch is already down. And being "emotional" just shows he's in it to win, no matter the cost. He's not upset at his team, he's upset at himself.

It's interesting that I'm seeing this video 2 weeks after it was uploaded, and just last night, Kucherov had a 4 point night (2G, 2A) against Columbus. He was absolutely on fire and some of his assists were so good, it was hard to pay attention to the resulting goals.

I think the calmness and confidence Coach Jon Cooper instills in his team is another reason why. Because of this, Kuch seems laid back and smoother and not rushed. He is not as high-octane as he can be, in comparison to McD, Tage, Matthews, etc.

I'm a Lightning fan and watch every game. And every game Kuch blows my mind. not just with the goals and assist, but with everything. I'm always like how the hell did he do that!! like you said he is so fast when he gets the puck and then makes a perfect pass. he is the reason for most of the goals scored and I haven't seem any dirty play from him either. Another Bolts great is Hagel. Hagel is flipping amazing too.
oh yeah, the game a couple nights ago he made a pass to Point that even Point couldn't believe. Point made the goal, but just stood there shaking his head in disbelief.

Kuch is no where near as bad as Marchand with the antics. He does what he has to in response to getting roughed up a lot undeservingly. Anyways, this video is a great breakdown of why he is so dominant in the NHL. He sneakily gets consistently high ppg in the nhl and is probably the most underrated superstar in the media due to his quieter nature
