USB-C port locked to USB 2.0 speeds if you don't know. While on Air 4++ you have max speeds.

Everyone thought the availability of self service repair would bring change, but Apple still make some baffling decisions in terms of repairability. At least the digitizer is still separate and relatively easy to repair. That's probably the part that most people break most often.

USB C with Gen 1 Pencil is a deadline push. The new iPad had to come out, and it had to be quirky with its landscape front facing camera, so there was no way they could’ve possibly had time to figure out how to throw in Gen 2 connectivity.

I find it interesting that they pull out the iPad Air 4th gen but they never did a teardown of the iPad Air 5th gen. Makes me wonder if they did and found it to be almost identical except for the new CPU?

feels rushed, but with a purpose, much like with old devices, there is always a quirky model before the polished one comes out.

Pencil 1 is bad but separated digitizer sounds great for repairability

Knowing Apple, they will never place the Magnetic charger for the Apple Pencil in an off-center position on the frame just to fit it on the side.

Apple pencil charging could be fixed. Every iPad switches to landscape camera, Apple pencil 3rd Gen moves the magnetic charger lower or higher, then it align either lower or higher on the iPads without interfering with the camera

Wtf why Apple why!?! Do they not know that the socket is something that’s likely to need servicing within the lifetime of the device?

Still no heat dissipation pad on the processor, another one who will overheat then bootloop and give the error 4013, with a needed reballing... They did this on purpose since the iPad 5gen !! We appreciate all your work and help.

Correction at 01:12 - The iPad Air 5 did not come out in 2020, it came out earlier this year. The iPad Air 4th generation was released in 2020.

2022 ... when usb c is a "strength" .... for even if they are the best tablets and procesor out to continue to have a a 64 gb storage baseline... the way it charges the pencil and the little things like the port welded continues to make apple a no go for me.

So much empty space at the bottom, and yet, only a singly USB connector, and no headphone jack.
