Thessaly's Test

Показать описание
1. Patient stands on 1 leg (the testing leg)
2. Patient rotates inward and outward
3. Ask patient where they feel pain.
- Pain with IR = Medial meniscus tear
- Pain with ER = Lateral meniscus tear
Be sure to ask the patient if/when they feel pain, as there is conflicting evidence on rotation and meniscus sensation.
This test is more applicable for a subacute setting rather than an acute setting, as weight bearing may be more painful acutely.
