My name is Paloma Bernardi, I'm an actress from Brazil.

I started listening to Spanish with my ex-boyfriend and I loved the way it sounded. And we traveled to Chile and then I had even more contact with Spanish. During the pandemic, when I had nothing to do at home, I decided to start studying and then I became even more enchanted with the language, the accent, the history. At that moment, I thought, well, I took a break from my projects in Brazil. I was doing theater I made two films, and then I mixed Spanish and Portuguese. I made two films, I made a series and then, during the second semester I decided to come to Madrid on my own to discover it, to enjoy everything. Including taking advantage of this time to study and that's where I found you, AIL Madrid.

Look, I think it's a bit of everything. I think first of all, coming here to get in touch with the people of Madrid, with the Spanish people getting to know the culture personally, getting to know this reality, personally, for me has been a wonderful experience. So, the tip I'd give you, apart from studying with books, listening to music, watching videos on the internet or watching films and series, is that for me the standard of study. If you have the opportunity to have contact in person, here in Madrid, I think it's the icing on the cake.

The classes are being so charming, I've done a period of the course, I'm already planning another period, because I'm 38 years old so I feel like a teenager with my little backpack on my back going to school and discovering something new and the classes are very dynamic. So it's not just about grammar, there's lots of conversation, lots of Extra material. And we end up learning more than just the language. We learn about the culture.

Look, I think this is a special point, because we get out of the classroom a bit, you know? We're used to, we already know what it's like and when we learn in practice, in experience, in addition to writing, listening and speaking, we can feel what it's like and we go beyond the language, we invade the culture, the traditions, the customs and we exchange with the other students who don't know anything and the teacher is always very attentive and very sweet. I love it! I think it's very cool all this interaction with the festivities with the Spanish gastronomy with the museums everything enchants me!

Yes, I recommend it! Come here, come to Madrid, come and study because I think that investing in our knowledge, in our learning is something that no one can take away from us so I'm here to say that I'm crazy about Spanish !
