The Vikings Draft JJ McCarthy: Is he 'The Man'?

The Minnesota Vikings draft JJ McCarthy out of Michigan in the 1st round. Is JJ McCarthy ''The Man'? In a way that Kirk Cousins was never 'The Man'? I review some highlights from JJ McCarthy's 2023 season at Michigan. Not a lot to go on, but let's hope.

JJ McCarthy is a winner. He doesn't choke like Kurt under pressure. I guarantee 💯 he wouldn't throw a 4yard out on 4th and 8. JJs teammates held him in high regard. 97 Everson Griffen said it best, "Kirk is @SS!" Grif may be crazy but he knew #8 wasn't it.

Thom you should watch the NCAA football championship highlights. There is something special about JJ. He said Kirk has gold chains and he has Championship Rings. The young man just turned 21 and I think the future is bright especially for the Vikings.

At this point, I honestly don't care if he's "the man". I'm just glad Kirk is gone and the 6y mostly horror show ended. Anyone but Kirk will do in my books. Overall, I'm not a big fan of JJMcC, but he seems like a good kid, has talent and if KOC is the QB whisperer he claims himself to be, then I'm willing to give him a year or two, maybe three depending on how much he sees the field in 2024! And yes, a good C would be something...

We'll see how the season goes but if that o-line looks that way, the following season, that organization better get some new o-line and maybe a top notch cornerback. There are some pretty talented skill players now and it'd be a shame to see it wasted.

Jj McCarthy just became the next piece of road kill for the viks. Defenses are faster, better than college. Go ahead scramble and become road kill, drop back and pass, eventually the bigguns will get him. Who is going to mentor him...no one. Build through o and d line, not sacrificial qb. If you picked him in 3rd round, great pick.
