Natural Cordage | Making Cordage from Nettles | Natural Crafts | Bushcraft Skills

Hi folks, this video id my first attempt at making natural cordage.
I used Stinging Nettles (Urtica dioica) and managed to get about 4ft of cordage. As a first attempt I am pleased with the results, and have taken home a few learning points for next time. Great demo. I tried this for the first time two years ago having watched the Ray Mears demo. He recommended leaving them out to dry first. I want to give it another go having watched this! Thanks for sharing.

Great video Andy :) You must be having better weather than me. Our nettles are still quite small and there are no Fox Gloves out yet. If you let the fibres dry first and then make the cord it will be much stronger
