Cambridge American Cemetery Undertake Their Spring Scarifying With The Allett C34 Mowers (ABMC)

We visited the Cambridge American Cemetery yesterday (ABMC) to see the grounds team hard at work scarifying the lawns during their spring renovations with the Allett C34 petrol mowers. They clocked up nearly 40 miles last week scarifying! They will scarify in a number of directions over the course of a few weeks.

The American Battle Monuments Commission honours U.S. service members from World War II with over 3,800 buried there.

Scarifying removes moss and thatch to improve lawn health typically done in spring + autumn at the ABMC . Some of the grounds team have worked there over 40 years and take great satisfaction from their jobs.
