This teaser was WAY better than the actual trailer, and dare I say, movie, period. This teaser was so haunting and got through to audiences that this is a remake with true potential. I've been OBSESSED with this version of Carrie since I saw it as a lonely little eleven-year-old, and always thought it was the best. But now I see this and rethink my opinion. This teaser was so scary to me! But it really captured nothing about the movie, and by that I mean nothing. I wish the movie was like the trailer.

Just because someone is beautiful outside doesn't mean they can't "feel" ugly inside. It's all about self-image.

This should've been in the movie :( the town destruction was really all that I was looking forward to but it was cut and replaced with 3 tiny explosions in the distance. They had the potential to make this an epic updated remake. They had the chance to do things they COULDN'T in the original but decided not to. Don't get me wrong I loved this movie, it just felt like wasted potential

Stephan king was not very specific about what carrie looked like, he never claimed she was ugly. Carrie is described as a litle chubby in the middle with acne on her neck, back, and butt. Claiming that these characteristics are ugly is even more insulting I think. And have you ever step foot in a high school? teenage girls dont think about how pretty someone is before bullying.

"She was going to take them with her, and there was going to be a great burning. Until the land was full of its stink..." - Stephen King, Carrie

Chloe will be amazing in this film for sure just like she did on Let Me In.

Who said Carrie has to be ugly? You don't have to be ugly for people to bully you. That's not the point of the movie.

I am now definitely looking forward to this new Carrie. Chloe Grace Moretz scaring me shitless already is a sign she will be amazing in this. Also can't wait to see Julianne Moore's portrayal of Carrie's psychotic mother. And after hearing the NY Comic-Con and info from behind the scenes, it looks like Kimberly Pearce is making this new adaptation darker and more slow-paced to not only make it scarier, but build on the character development between Carrie And Margaret. So far, I AM

Nothing, There is nothing wrong with remaking a movie based on a book. As long as it is true to the story. It is a good way to introduce the story to a new generation.

Not ugly, but has low self-esteem. That doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be ugly.

If you watch the movie 'Let me in' you might change your mind. I think she will be great for the role & for her age actually has quite a diverse number of characters she can play eg 'Kick ass', 'Hick' & 'Let me in'. I guess time will tell though.

This is the only remake of the movie..
There is the original Carrie (1976)
The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999)
Then this remake..obviously (2013)
So, there has not been any other remakes.

Very nice. Can't wait to see this. I'm a big fan of the book, and the original 1976 movie. From this trailer I can guess this is going to be based directly off the book though, with the interviews with classmates etc, starting from the fire, then introducing Carrie through flashbacks. As for the little girl playing Carrie, I do agree that she's a bit too pretty. Carrie was a plain, mousey, pimply, slightly overweight girl in the book. I think Sissy Spacek nailed it in the 1975 movie.
